Michael began his career managing the audio portion of his father's business, U.S. Recording Company. Shortly after his father's death in 1978, Michael assumed ownership and management of the recording business under the name Tait Recording Services. He took great pride in his work producing radio spots and audio presentations for organizations in the metropolitan area as well as political campaign spots heard around the country. A Vietnam War veteran, Mike served on a supply ship in the U.S. Navy delivering supplies and equipment to land forces. He was an avid sports fan, a long-time Redskin season ticket holder and enjoyed shooting a friendly game of pool. He also found peace and gratification working in his garden and observing the wildlife he encouraged to visit a setting which helped sustain him through his long fight with cancer. Michael was the beloved husband of Carolyn S. Tait; loving father of Joanne L. Tait; son of the late Joseph and Barbara Tait; brother of Barbara Taylor, Joe and Tom Tait, Debby Tait and the late James Anthony Tait. Services are private.
