James F. Jordan, 67, of Arlington, VA died on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, after a long illness. Born December 26, 1943, in Washington, D.C., he graduated from DeMatha High School. He earned his Entomology degree at the University of Delaware and a Masters of business Administration at the University of Maryland. He had a 38 year career with the federal government, retiring from the Office of Management and budget in 2010. His avocations included gardening, biking, walking and reading. He is preceded in death by his parents Geraldine Ruth Jordna (nee Martin) and Francis Xavier Jordan. Surviving are 2 sisters Judith A. Alewine and her husband, Robert D. and Janice M. Chiesa and her husband, Robert P. He was Uncle Jim to Joanne Alewine, Jennifer Bevins, Christopher Alewine, Bethanie Stratton and also to Michael, James and Stephen Chiesa. Family will receive friends at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 1940 Mitchellville Rd., Bowie, MD on Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 10 to 11am, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am.
