Audre Ann Branham Audre' Ann Balcom Branham passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at her home in Crofton, Maryland with her loving husband and son by her side after a brief battle with cancer. Ann was born on February 13th, 1940 to Richard (Dick) and Millie Balcom. Raised in Corinth,NY, Ann graduated from Corinth Central School and went on to receive her nursing degree from Russell Sage College and Ellis Hospital of Nursing. Ann worked in the nursing profession until meeting her husband Bill and after moving to Maryland, together they owned and operated their own business, Swallow Office Supply and Copy Center in Crofton, a office, furniture, and computer supply store. Ann and Bill worked side by side until her retirement a few years ago. Ann enjoyed spending time with family and really enjoyed their time spent at their condo in Ocean City, Maryland. Ann loved the water and boating on the Chesapeake. The last four or five years Ann and Bill spent a lot of time and made many friends at the Fleet Reserve for lunch and the Annapolis Moose and Bowie Elks for dinner and dancing. Ann loved to dance. Ann is predeceased by her parents, Dick and Millie Balcom, a brother, Robert (Bobby) Balcom. She is survived by her husband, William (Bill) K. Branham, of Crofton, Maryland, a son, Quentin E. Branham, of Ocean City, Maryland and a sister, Mary M. Balcom-Lozier and husband Arthur of Corinth, New York. A sister-in law, Donna Balcom of Corinth, New York, a brother in law Jim Branham, and family in Nacogdotches, Texas. Her nieces, Jill Ann, Jodee Lynn and Trisha Elizabeth, her nephews, Casey Joseph and Timothy John, two aunts, Dorothy Clothier and Lois Towers, one uncle, Dave Towers and numerous cousins. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011, at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD, 20715 from 1 to 3 PM where a Prayer service will be held at 3PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in remembrance of Ann can be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 445 Defense Highway, Annapolis, MD 21401.
