John William Douglas, Sr.

John William Douglas, Sr. of Crofton died on Sunday, August 28, 2011. He was born May 24, 1913 in Kentucky. He was predeceased by his wife, Ann Douglas. Survivors include his children, Ann Hoffman of Culpeper, VA, Diane Edmunds of Woodbridge, VA, Linda Douglas of Boonsboro, MD, John Douglas, Jr. and his wife Joyce of Seattle, WA, Steve Douglas of Crofton, MD and Les Douglas of Brandywine, MD; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at Community United Methodist Church, 1690 Riedel Rd., Crofton, MD 21114 on Friday, September 9, 2011 at 11am. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
