James H. Allen, Jr.

James H. Allen, Jr. Of Bowie, MD passed away peacefully on July 20, 2011. His loving wife Cynthia was by his side. Jim, originally of Jacksonville Florida lived and worked in the Washington DC area for 40 years. He is also survived by two sons David (Maureen) Allen and Mark (Margaret) Allen, two step children, Christopher (Tracey) Conti and Stacy (Brian) Watkins, two sisters, Mary Jean (Steve) Torda, Lynn Forest and eleven Grandchildren James, Janine, Christopher, Nicholas, Matthew, Zachary, Lani, Jacob, Benjamin, Jessie and Sarah. Jim's career began in the United States Army achieving the rank of Captain. As a civilian he worked for the Pentagon, Meals on Wheels in Flordia and taught and became dean of international programs at Southeastern University holding a bachelor's and two master's degrees. Celebrating Jim's life the wake, funeral and interment will be held on July 23, beginning at 10:00 am at the Christ Episcopal Church, 8710 Branch Avenue, Clinton, MD .
