Mary Rowena Aquilla

Mary Rowena Aquilla, age 83, went home to be with the Lord on July 20, 2011. Rowena, as she was known to family and friends, was born July 23, 1927 in Roanoke, VA to Stella Mae and George Taylor. She moved to the Washington DC area at an early age where she married and raised a family. She is the mother of Sandra L. Piliero and Harold L. Padgett; grandmother of Lisa Drowsdowski, Christine Padgett Smith, Scott W. Padgett and Frank Piliero; great-grandmother of Maggie and Peyton. She is also survived by her sister, Lillian Tayman and her brother, Harold Taylor. Rowena lived for many years at her beloved Carolina Beach, NC but recently moved back to Maryland.
