Adrian Joseph Simi

Adrian Joseph Simi of Bowie, Maryland passed away on June 12, 2011 from respiratory arrest at Doctor's Hospital in Lanham, Maryland. He was born September 29, 1925 in Washington, DC. A graduate from American University, he was also a WWII veteran and a retired executive in the textile industry. He was a long time resident of Cheverly, Maryland moving to Bowie in 1991. In his younger days Andy was an avid bowler. Later in life he honed his skills as a handicapper enjoying time spent at the Bowie and Laurel race tracks. Andy was a devoted husband, father and grandfather enormously proud of his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Irene S Simi, his children, daughter Ione M Braun and her husband Mark Braun of Bowie, MD, son Michael A Simi and his wife Shelly S Simi of Churchton, MD and his four beloved grandchildren, Connor, Garrett, Adam and Blake Simi. He was predeceased by his sister Madeline S. Fineran Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy (Route 3 South) Bowie, MD from 2-4pm and 6pm until service time at 7:30pm. Private interment will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville Friday June, 17.
