Louise Leath

July 29, 1924 — April 24, 2011

On Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 Louise Leath entered her eternal life. She was born Louise Giles, on July 29, 1924 to the late Noah Giles and Mariah (Mims) Giles in Baltimore, Maryland. She was the third of four children born to this union. She was raised in the Bronx, New York where she attended school. Later in life, she married William Henry Connelly and to this union came two sons, Richard H. Connelly Sr. and Ronald W. Connelly Sr. Together they raised their children who took a liking to sports in response to their father's fondness of sports. During their upbringing, Louise was known for making a hardy meal, which the men in her life were certain not to miss. Louise worked in the housekeeping department in New York hospitals and enjoyed conversing with staff and patients. On occasions, she could be found in the break room with colleagues enjoying a hardy laugh about life. Louise was always upbeat and lived life knowing that tomorrow is not promised. After her sons became adults and move out, she married Thomas Leath. Shortly, thereafter, she retired from Jacobi Hospital. During her retirement, she lived life to the fullest by traveling with friends, and becoming more active in her church Fellowship Covenant Church in Bronx, NY where she graduated from bible school in 1998. When she became ill she moved back to Maryland to be close to her grandson Ronald. She is preceded in death by her sons Ronald W. Connelly Sr. and Richard H. Connelly Sr.; siblings Robert Giles, Alice Giles and Lilliebell Giles. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved grandsons Richard H. Connelly Jr.; Ronald W. Connelly Jr; granddaughter in-law Tracie Connelly; great-granddaughters Kayla and Savannah Connelly; great grandson Ronald W. Connelly III; sister Alice Chappelle and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
