Albert J. Jensen, a resident of Bowie since 1966, died at his home on March 25th. He is survived by his wife, Mearle, whom he married in 1955; 2 daughters, Evelyn Thrift and her husband, Bill, of Bowie and Susan Goodnite and her husband, Paul, of Millersville; and 6 grandchildren, Daniel, Melissa and Emma Thrift, Rachael, Amanda and Christopher Goodnite. Born on Oct. 6, 1930, he grew up in New York City. He graduated from Concordia Collegiate Institute Prep School in Bronxville, NY, attended Lehigh University and graduated with a B.S. degree from Columbia University in 1955. A Memorial Gathering will be held at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Saturday, April 9, 2011 from 12:00pm until the Memorial Service at 1:00pm.
