On Saturday, February 26, 2011, MICHAEL E. KAIMAKIS, of Baltimore City. He operated Marine Laundry for several years and worked for Kennecott Copper Refinery as a Senior Multi-Skilled Mechanic. In 1978, he began work for Chemetals, until he retired in 1997. He worked for HJS Painting Company for 11 years with his brother-in-law, Harry Sharkey. He was a member of the Hellenic Bowling League and was in a Special Unit in the Greek Air Force. He was the beloved husband of Angela (nee Maistros) Kaimakis; loving father of Angelo Kaimakis and Maria M. Kaimakis-Yiannouris and her husband, Vassos; son of the late Evangelos and Kalliopi Kaimakis; dear brother of Angeliki Kaimaki, Dimitris (Mimi) Kaimakis and Stefanos Kaimakis; devoted grandfather of Andreas and Angela Yiannouris. Mr. Kaimakis will lie-in-state at the Chapel of The Holy Resurrection at the Greek Orthodox Cemetery, Windsor Mill Road, Baltimore, MD, Thursday 10:30 - 11 a.m, with a funeral service to follow. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his name to St. Nicholas Greek School, 520 Ponca St., Baltimore, MD 21224 or to the Annunciation Greek School, 24 West Preston Street, Baltimore, MD 21201.
