Hattie Mallory, 75, of Bowie, MD passed away Saturday, Jan.29, 2011, at her home in her sleep. The family is planning a private Memorial service her hometown of Camden, Alabama on February 3, 2011. Hattie the youngest daughter of late Willie and Francis Dulaney was born September 20, 1935, in Camden, Alabama. She was the youngest of eight children, raised with old fashion hard working; God fearing values which she would keep with her throughout the rest of her life. She graduated from High School in 1955. After graduation, she decided to serve her country through military service joining United States Army in 1957. Two years later in 1959, she met and married Arthur Mallory. Hattie left the military shortly thereafter to start a family, dedicating herself to taking care of her children. She gave birth to three boys from October 1960 to April 1963. Her first born, Arnold Calvin Mallory, was born in 1960. Fifteen months later, her middle son, Bernard Oliver Mallory, was born in 1962. Finally, approximately fifteen months later, she gave birth to youngest son, Michael Anthony Mallory, in 1963. It was very clear from the rapid succession of births she would dedicate her life to raising her three boys. She ended up raising her three boys by herself in Bronx, New York. She was a member of a Presbyterian Church in Bronx, NY for many years. While raising her three boys she attended Church with them, and made sure they attended Sunday school every Sunday. She understood the need, and the importance of having her boys influenced by word of God. Hattie was an avid reader, and she enjoyed following politics. She was member of several Presidential citizens Councils. She enjoyed receiving letters from each President with their Presidential Seal acknowledging her dedication and contributions. She is survived by brother Daniel Dulaney; Her sister Betty Dulaney; Three sons, Arnold C. Mallory, Bernard O. Mallory, and Michael A. Mallory; Three Daughter-in-Laws April Mallory, Nancy Mallory, and Lynda Mallory; Seven grandchildren, Tiara Mallory, Cecilia Arellano, Malcolm Mallory, Alexandra Mallory, Vanessa Mallory, Miles Mallory, and Madison Mallory; And many nieces and nephews.
