Maryalice Jessup

Maryalice Jessup passed away January 14, 2011 of heart failure. Maryalice was a long time resident of Maryland, who loved and was loved by a vast network of family and friends. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa on April 6, 1933. She graduated from Western High School, in Washington, D.C., attended the universities of Florida and Michigan, received her master's degree from the University of Texas and worked on her PhD at American University. She is survived by her two sons, Scott Bassett and his wife, Vickie; John Bassett and his wife, Julie and daughter, Rachel; daughter, Carolyn Banks and her husband, Bill; and granddaughter Shannon O'Connell and her husband, Denis and their two children, Edmond Sage and Sophia Elizabeth. Family will receive friend at BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 S), Bowie, MD on Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 2pm until the Memorial Service at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Crofton Care and Rehabilitation Center or the Hospice of the Chesapeake.
