He was born in Ansonia, Connecticut. He attended the University of Notre Dame, and earned his Bachelor of Science from Southern Connecticut State College in 1957. He also served in the United States Army 1952-1954. As a Special Agent of the FBI, Mr. Mignosa was assigned to Philadelphia, New York, and the FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC. He served as Chief of the Terrorism Section of the Criminal Investigative Division until his retirement from the FBI in 1980. He then joined the Riggs National Bank, and retired as Vice President of the Security Department in 1989. Mr. Mignosa died Monday, December 20, surrounded by family and friends in his home. Seb is survived by his wife of sixty years, Theresa; 3 daughters and their spouses, Rena and James Shove of Waterbury, CT, Jean and Russell Samson of Woodbridge, VA and Mary Ann and Robert Glass of Annapolis, MD; and seven grandchildren. Family will receive friends at Sacred Heart Chapel, 16501 Annapolis Rd., Bowie, MD 20715 on Thursday, December 23, 2010 from 10:00am until the Mass of Christian Burial is celebrated, 11:00am.
