Angela Mary Laurenzano, 83, of Crofton and previously of Bowie for 40 years, died November 27 at her home. She was born Oct. 16, 1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and earned a Bachelor's degree in education from Columbia University and a Master's degree in education from Bowie State University. For 20 years, she worked as a kindergarten teacher in the Prince George's County Schools and was named Teacher of the Year. Angela was also a member of Sacred Heart Church who enjoyed traveling and visiting with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Frank Laurenzano, whom she married on Dec. 1, 1951; five sons, Francis of Mountain View, Calif., Stephen of Henderson, Nev., James of Chicoppe, Mass., Peter of Upper Marlboro and Paul of Gambrills; five daughters, Jean Abeyta of Bowie, Mary Laurenzano of Fruitland, Nancy Mulligan of Stevensville, Marilyn von Hoenning of Munich, Germany and Michelle Boretti of Crofton; brother, Frank DeCarlo of West Hills, Calif.; 36 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 3 at the family-owned Beall Funeral Home, (Rte. 3 South), Bowie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 4 at Sacred Heart Chapel, 16501 Annapolis Road, Bowie. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.
