Leonard P. Abbott

On Wednesday, November 24, 2010 of Bowie, MD. Beloved husband of Catherine A. Abbott; devoted father of Bill Abbott and his wife, Teresa; dear brother of Mary McGregor; loving grandfather of Andrea, Nathan, Katherine and Brandon; adored great-grandfather of Allison and Brian. He was retired from the USDA. Mr. Abbott was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #2577, a prominent member of Sacred Heart Church and the first recipient of the Diocesan Medal of Merit. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 3:00-7:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Chapel, 16501 Annapolis Rd., Bowie, MD on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 11:00am. Interment, Sacred Heart Cemetery.
