Dr. Edward J. Wilson, an original resident of Crofton, died on Sunday, October 17, 2010. He was born January 14, 1916 in Ohio. Dr. Wilson worked as a veterinarian for the U.S. Department of Agriculture for 30 years. After Federal retirement, he was the Maryland State Veterinarian. He was predeceased by his wife, Antoinette O'Connor Wilson, in 1998, his son, Patrick Wilson and his sister, Margaret Griffin. He is survived by his children, Margaret Wilson of Odenton, Katherine Silver and her husband Joseph of Annapolis, Mary Evans and her husband Jack of Columbia, Elizabeth Brown of Crofton, Edward Wilson, Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Crofton; his daughter-in-law Judy Wilson of Crofton; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, Md on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 from 7:00-9:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1800 Seton Dr., Crofton, MD on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:00am.
