Melvin E. Garner, Jr.

On Sunday, September 19, 2010, of Bowie, Md. Beloved husband of Barbara Garner for 28 years; loving father of Elizabeth and Katherine Garner; dear brother of Maria Sneden, Leslee Garner and James Garner. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and graduated at the top of his class from Providence College in Providence, RI, in 1970, with a degree in Political Science. Mr. Garner worked for 33 years at Security Storage Company in Washington, D.C. He was an usher at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church and volunteered at Northview Elementary in Bowie, both before and after care.
