Julie Lynette Black (Harris), 39, of Millersville, died September 11 at Baltimore Washington Medical Center after an eight-month struggle with cancer. She was born January 8, 1971, in Baltimore, to John and the late Claudette Harris. Mrs. Black was the owner and head florist of Black Eyed Susan's Florist in Crofton. She was a member of the Crofton Chamber of Commerce and an active supporter of the Old Mill High School marching band. She was preceded in death by her mother, Claudette Harris, who died in 2009. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Robert Black; two sons, Robert Black Jr. of Frederick and Michael Black; daughter, Susan Black; father, John Harris of Millersville; and brother, Jay Harris of South Carolina. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14 at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Highway, Bowie. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 15 at Beall Funeral Home. Interment Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville.
