Joseph T. O'Connor

October 28, 1921 — April 21, 2010

Joseph O'Connor, beloved husband of Marjorie Platt O'Connor, was born in Mt. Rainier, MD, served in WWII as a paratrooper in the 11th airborne, serving in the South Pacific. He was a member of the Holy Name Union of Baltimore, serving as a Marshall for the Union in the state of MD, a member and past president of the Holy Name Society at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church in Millersville, MD; a member of the American Legion in Greenbelt, MD, and a member of the WWII Memorial in D.C. where his picture is displayed. He is survived by one sister, Marguerite Kincius of Greenbelt, brother Gregory of Silver Spring. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Friday, April 23, 2010 from 7:00-9:00pm, with a Rosary prayer service at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Ave., Millersville on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 8:30am. Interment, Our Lady of the Fields Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Fields In Memory of Joseph O'Connor.
