Roland O. "Woody" Woodring

Roland O. Woodring SEABROOK, Md. Roland O. Woodring of Seabrook, Md., died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010. He was born and raised in Meadvillem Pa. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1947 to 1952 and went on to work overseas for the Bendix Corp. from 1952 to 1962. In 1962, he settled in the Washington, D.C., area and retired as an engineer in 1987. He was the beloved husband of Ardelle Woodring; devoted father of William O., Walter G. and Robert K. (Denise) Woodring; dear brother of Geraldine Poux, Marion Simmons and Marjorie Zelasko, all from the Meadville area; and loving grandfather of Desiree and Jacob. Family will receive friends at the family-owned Beall Funeral Home, 6512 N.W. Crain Highway (Route 3 South), Bowie, Md., on Jan. 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Jan 23 from 11 a.m. until service time, 1 p.m. Interment will be private.
