Mildred S. MacDonald

Mildred Sena (Treshman) MacDonald died Nov. 14 at Bowie Health Center. She was 86. She was born in Baltimore on July 13, 1923, the daughter of Harry and Mildred (Smith) Treshman. She married Harold MacDonald on Oct. 24, 1943 and continued to live in Baltimore. After World War II she moved to the Kansas City, Mo., area with her husband and raised a son and daughter. While there, she worked in civil service jobs for the federal government. She was active in the Lee's Summit (Mo.) First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School classes for many years. She was passionate about her children, grandchildren and church activities. Following her husband's death in 1989, Mrs. MacDonald continued to live in Lee's Summit. She returned to her home state of Maryland in 2005, living in Bowie. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Bowie. She was preceded in death by her brother Harry Treshman. She is survived by her sister, Blossom Lewis, of Abingdon. She is also survived by her son, Chuck MacDonald, of Bowie, and daughter, Marcy Miller, of Naperville, Il. Her six grandchildren are Mark MacDonald of St. Charles, Mo.; Tracy MacDonald, of Sterling, Va.; Christy MacDonald, of Alexandria, Va.; and Jessica Miller, Alexander Miller, and Christopher Miller, of Naperville, Il.
