He is survived by his wife Corinna Slack Hughes of Bowie, MD; children Michael Turner of Bowie, MD, Kelly Hughes of Tampa, FL, Amy Hammen of Glen Burnie, MD and James Hughes, Jr. of Edgewater, MD; parents Doris Wilson of Bowie, MD and the late Earle Hughes; step-father Milo Wilson, Sr. of Bowie, MD; sister Candice Watkins of Cheverly, MD; brothers Patrick Hughes of Winchester, VA and Stephen Hughes of Rockville, MD; grandfather of Isabella and Jason Hammen of Glen Burnie, MD; long-time friend of John Gibson. Family will receive friends at the family owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Monday, December 22, 2008 from 7:00-9:00pm and on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 from 1:00pm until service time, 2:00pm. Interment private.
