On Thursday, February 5, 2009, Ellen D. Holman of Deale, MD, formerly of Bowie, MD, passed away at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. She was born on August 27, 1927 to Adam and Helen Holman in Raleigh, NC.She was a very active member of the 14th District Democratic Club in Bowie, MD and a Partner and Vice-President of Adnell Corp. in Bowie, MD, which was her familys Home and Land Development Company. Ms. Holman was a jewelry buyer for Hecht Co., had an Estate Appraisal Business in Deale, MD and served as a Lector at Ascension Catholic Church in Bowie, MD. She is survived by her sister, Katheryn A. Hovde of Rockville, MD; 2 brothers, John T. Holman of Baltimore, MD and Edward B. Holman of McClean, VA; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.Family will receive friends at the family owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Ascension Catholic Church, 12700 Lanham Severn Rd., Bowie, MD on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 11:00am. Interment New Bloomfield Cemetery, New Bloomfield, PA, Thursday, February 12, 2009 at 1:00pm.
