Mary S. Walker

Peacefully, on Friday, March 13, 2009, she departed this life with loved ones by her side, at her home after a brief bout of cancer. She retired from Giant Food in 1991 after 28 years as an Executive Assistant to the Sr. VP of Finance. Born in Washington, D.C., she attended Eastern H.S. and moved to Prince Georges County, MD in 1961. She has been a resident of Bowie, MD for the past 21 years. Beloved wife, for 37 years, of the late Joseph Minder Walker, Sr., who passed in 1987; Devoted mother of Karen Ratliff, Katherine Walker, John Walker and Joseph Walker, Jr.; Dear sister of Elizabeth Bradley and William Snow; Loving grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends at the family owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Friday, March 20, 2009 from 6:00-8:00pm. Interment and services private.
