Mary DeMaio

Mary Ellen DeMaio 85, formerly of Bowie, Maryland died April 5, 2009 at her home in Kinston, NC. She was born February 9, 1924 in Charlotte, NC. She grew up in Charlotte was married in 1957 to her predeceased husband Michael A. DeMaio. Mary Ellen DeMaio was resident of Bowie for 47 years and recently moved to Kinston, NC. She was a bookkeeper for more than 20 years at the local swim club, Belair Bath & Tennis. She spent her retirement enjoying quilting and basket making. She is a past president of the Sacred Heart Ladies Auxiliary.She is survived by her grown children Michael V DeMaio, Louis D. DeMaio, John V. DeMaio, all of Bowie, MD. Mary C. Poole of Delmar, MD. Loretta A. DeMaio of Kinston, NC, and Susan M. DeMaio of Berwyn Heights, MD. Mary Ellen DeMaio is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, Donald Poole, Julia Poole, William Poole, Claire DeMaio, James DeMaio, Emily DeMaio, Kristen DeMaio, Anthony DeMaio, Kaitlyn DeMaio, Sophia DeMaio, Dominic DeMaio, and Anamaria DeMaio. The viewing will be held at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte 3 South) in Bowie MD Monday April 13th from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral to be held 10am Tuesday April 14th at St. Pius X Church, 14720 Annapolis Rd., Bowie MD.
