Bridget A. Codd

On Wednesday, April 8, 2009, Bridget Ann Codd, 53, a 14 year resident of Arnold, MD passed away at home. She was born on July 2, 1955 in Hillsborough County, FL. She earned a Bachelors of Science from University of South Florida and a Masters of Education from Bowie State University in Bowie, MD. For 30 years, she worked as a Teacher, Pupil Personnel Worker and Guidance Couselor for Anne Arundel County Schools; Annapolis Phoenix Central, Broadneck High School, Severn River Middle School, Northeast High School and lastly Southgate Elementary School as a Guidance Counselor.She was selected for the 2006 Northern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce Educational Excellence Award. Her memberships included the Maryland State Teachers Association (MSTA), Riva Trace Baptist Church and Maryland Association of Pupil Personnel (MAPP).Bridget enjoyed Yoga, Bible Study, gardening, sewing, and counseling. She was an Aerobics Instructor and a Volunteer Parent for Rohannas Dance Production Studio.She is survived by her husband, Michael J. Codd, who she married on May 23, 1981; a daughter, Shanley Codd, of Arnold, MD; a sister, Jeanne Barton, of Apollo Beach, FL; and her mother, Esther Young, of Tampa, FL. She was predeceased by her father, William Young.Family will receive friends at the family owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy.
