John David Mitchell

John David Mitchell, 55, resident of Bowie MD, formally from Riverton NJ / Pennsauken NJ died 4-16-2009. John was blessed to live 35 additional years after being diagnosed with terminal Hodgkins disease in the mid 1970s. The experimental treatment John endured in the mid 1970s lasting (4) long years proved to benefit both him and many others that followed John. John continued his life goals achieving (3) college degrees in Electronic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Computer Science. John was most recently employed by the Washington Hospital Center in the Washington DC area as a Bio-medical Engineer for many yeas before retiring in 2007. John is survived by two brothers, George Mitchell of Lancaster, Pa and Charles Mitchell of Downingtown, Pa. A memorial service for John is being scheduled for June 2009 for the immediate family and close friends in remembrance of his life.
