Dorothy L. Fearson

September 18, 1917 — April 27, 2009

After a brief illness, Dorothy (Dottie) Louise Fearson, nee Reed, went quietly into the arms of The Lord on Monday, April 27, 2009 at 91 years of age. She followed in the footsteps of beloved family members gone before: husband, William F. Fearson; son, Kenneth Fearson; sister Helen Clinkscale; brother William Reed; and parents Raymond E. and Marie Reed. Born September 18, 1917 in Georgetown, D.C., where she was raised - attending Holy Trinity Catholic School from which she graduated prior to becoming a bookkeeper for an electrical contractor. She married 'Bill' Fearson in 1942 and settled down to raise her 4 children, Jeanne Fearson, Elizabeth West (Robert), Margaret Josleyn (Lee) and Kenneth (survived by Debra). In addition to her three daughters, she is also survived by sister, Mary Roberts and two brothers, Raymond E. Reed, Jr. and Joseph D. Reed. She is grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 4. Dorothy was devoted to her family, and we mourn our loss while holding her memory close and rejoice that she is at peace with God and the Angels.Visitation will be on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Beall Funeral Home: 6512 N.W. Crain Hwy (Rt. 3 South) Bowie, MD. from 2-4 and 7-9 PM with a rosary at 2 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 1, 2009 10 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Chapel, 16501 Annapolis Rd (Rt.450), Bowie, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake or The Arthritis Foundation. Interment to follow at a later date in Tuscon, AZ. VISITATION: 4/30/2009 2-4 PM and 7-9 PMFUNERAL: 5/1/2009 10 AM
