On Friday, May 1, 2009, a resident of Charlotte Hall Veterans Home formerly of Easton, MD; survived by his former wife and mother of their children, Agnes Louise Haker-Abell-Wenk; father of Michael J., John B. Jr. (Francine), Joseph A., James E., Jerome M. (Christine), Patrick K. (Marina) and Robert F. (Alisia) Abell; brother of Paul J. Jr., Francis S., Charles M. and George C. Abell, Susan J. Martin and the late Catherine L. Lanham; grandfather of 14; great-grandfather of 3; dear companion of Claire M. McGolrick. His family would like to give a special thanks to his friends and the staff at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. Family will receive friends at the family owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Chapel, 16501 Annapolis Rd., Bowie, MD on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 11:00am. Interment, Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
