James Ellis Grissett, Sr.

On Tuesday, May 5, 2009; of Laurel, MD. Beloved father of James E. Grissett, Jr. of Bowie, MD, Gary M. Grissett of Waldorf, MD and Sherrill M. Saunders of Laurel, MD; also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, his former wife and sisters-in-law; predeceased by his brother, Walter A. Grissett and his sister, Martha Grissett who led him to the Lord. He served his country in the Navy during WWII, loved life and was a fan of horseracing. He will be sorely missed. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Hwy., Cheltenham, MD on Friday, May 15, 2009 at 2:00pm.
