Robert Lee Burgee, Sr.

On Friday, August 7, 2009; of Riverdale, MD; surrounded by his immediate family. Beloved husband of Norma Burgee for 58 years; devoted father of Cathy (Mark) Knutsen, Margie (John) Brindley, Ginny (Dan) Mortimer and Bob (Janet) Burgee; dear brother of Joan Giles; loving grandfather of John Wildman, III, Marcie (Andrew) Burkhart, Tim Mortimer, Meghan Brindley, Sean Brindley and the late Christie Wildman, dear great-grandfather of Dominic Mortimer; also survived by a host of loving relatives and friends. Mr. Burgee was born on November 25, 1929 in Brunswick, MD to the late Howard and Cora Burgee. In 1991, he retired as an Engineer from Washington Gas Light Company, where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He went on to become a partner, with his son, of Edges2, Inc., where he was a knife maker for 17 years. A Memorial Service will be held at the family owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 11:00 am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
