Michael G. Dennis

Michael Guy Dennis Mike?, age 47, a 19 year resident of Bowie, passed on August 26, 2009 at Johns Hopkins Hospital after a brief battle with Stomach Cancer.He was born August 17, 1962 in Philadelphia, PA and later went on to earn a BS in Accounting from Clarkson University in 1984 and an MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University in 1997. Mike worked for EOSAT from 1986-1995, at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab from 1997-2002 and for Solipsys from 2002-2009 as a Software Engineer. An athlete, he was very active in tennis, golf and soccer. He is survived by his wife, Karen C. Dennis, whom he married in 1990; a son Alex Dennis of Bowie; a daughter Melanie Dennis of Bowie; a sister Cynthia Dennis of Cambridge, NY; and his parents Nancy and James Dennis of Berwick, PA.A Memorial Service will be held at Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis, 333 Dubois Rd., Annapolis, MD 21401on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 11:00am.
