In Loving Memory of Adrienne Rene Reaves
Adrienne Rene Reaves of Beltsville, Maryland passed away at Adventist HealthCare Medical Center in Silver Spring, Maryland on August 31, 2021, at the age of 47. She was a treasured friend, beloved sister, cherished daughter, and a devoted mother.
Adrienne was born in Washington, D.C. on November 18, 1973. She lived most of her life in the Washington DC metro area. She attained her post-secondary education from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Strayer University. Over the span of 3 decades, Adrienne worked as an administrator in the Washington, D.C. metro area for several employers including the US Department of Veteran Affairs. In 2009 she gave birth to her daughter Adrianna. Beginning her walk with Christ during adolescence, Adrienne was an active and dedicated member of her church families, under the guidance of Bishop Joseph Jackson and Elder Victor Furr.
Adrienne strongly believed in family. She valued the precious time she spent supporting the upbringing of those she described as her surrogate children - her nieces and nephews as well as her many Godchildren and God-siblings. She had a natural nurturing spirit which contributed to her ability to reach out and make sure that everyone she cared for was doing okay and that they knew they were loved by her. At social events and family gatherings, Adrienne didn't shy away from ensuring that people knew she cared. Her warm, loving, giving heart will be missed.
Adrienne leaves behind a legacy of love to her daughter Adrianna, parents Earldean and Claude Thompson of Beltsville, Maryland, natural father Michael (Carolyn) Glass of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; siblings Tee Jay, Kevin (Angela) Sr, Jermaine, Matthew, Aaron, David, Charity (Brian), Michael, Faith, Kristen, Jared (Jing) and Elizabeth; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
