Mr. Agdew Asfaw was born to Colonel Asfaw Andarge and Mrs. Workwha Mekonnen on February 12th, 1945.
As a young boy, Agdew attended Teferi Mekonnen Elementary School. Upon completing his education, he joined Ambo Agriculture and Technical School. Agdew studied and graduated with a Diploma.
He was awarded a scholarship to pursue his education at Salonica University in Greece in Agricultural Science. After he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Greece, he moved to München, Germany. He lived in Germany for several years and returned home to support the family’s businesses. He worked at the Brick Factory for several years then moved on to manage the Dairy Farm.
Due to changes in Government, he sought employment outside of his family sphere. He started working for the Sallinne Company at Gilge Gibbe for a Rice production project.
Mr. Agdew came to the United States to join his family in Washington D.C. Due to illness, Mr. Agdew Asfaw passed away surrounded with the care and love of his family members around him on February 20, 2023.
