Alen Maxwell Edgar

Alen Maxwell Edgar was born in Bowral, just outside of Sydney, Australia on August 22nd,1938.  

Max loved to travel. He and his brother, Bob, visited different states in the US before settling in Canada in 1962. He took a job in the sales department in one of Canada's leading clothing stores.  He found a church home at the People's Church in Toronto, and a place to share the gospel with Open Air Campaigners, an organization founded in Australia.  In 1964 he married Patricia Sinclair in Toronto and together they left for Australia in l965. In l966, Max and Pat left  Australia, and returned to Canada via England and Europe.  In 1970 Max and his family moved to the US to work at Washington Bible College as graphic artist and soccer coach. Independent Baptist Church became his church home where he ministered to the elderly.

Israel was a country Max loved to visit and had the opportunity to see that beautiful land many times.

Soccer and swimming were his favorite sports.  He was a graphic artist by profession. Max was a very talented graphic artist and painter, and channeled his gifts to many businesses and churches.  His paintings left behind are a testimony to his talent.

Max had the gift of making people laugh and his greeting to whomever he met was warm and genuine.

Max is survived by his wife Pat, and three daughters, Kelli, Jody, Tricia, three grandchildren, Brecklyn, Bryson and Finley; his sister Pam, sister in-law Helen, and many nieces and nephews.

Max peacefully went to his heavenly home on January 7, 2023.  His constant phrase was, ‘God is good.’  And He is!
