Wes Shoap was a brother, son, nephew, cousin, music lover, and friend to many. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 17, 2024 from diabetic complications.
Wes spent his early years in Bowie, Maryland, forming friendships and building relationships that would last the rest of his life. After moving to Crofton in ninth grade, he kept his roots firmly planted in the 301 while simultaneously branching out and building strong foundations for the network of lives he would one day touch.
As an avid beach goer, Wes spent his summers in Ocean City before jumping with both feet into his true passion of audio engineering. He built his magnum opus, Wesley Snipes Entertainment, on the loving foundation that he shared with his friends and family. He was known by his coworkers and industry colleagues for his authenticity and dedication to excellence as part of the management team at PM1.
Through his unparallelled perseverance and dedication to sharing joy with others, Wes made it his mission to always move forward, and to celebrate the ebbs and flows of life with those he came into contact with through his music and his personality.
Friends and family are invited to gather Friday, February 23 from 6-8pm at Beall Funeral Home in Bowie. A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Edwards church in Bowie on Saturday, February 24 at 11:00am. Wes’ burial will be held at a future date.
