Allen Abraham Springer, age 88, passed away on February 6, 2022, in Catonsville, MD. Allen was born on September 8,1933 in Brooklyn, NY, to parents David and Anna Springer. He was a graduate of both Wilsons Teachers College and George Washington University where he earned a master’s in education. Al was a teacher and vice principal in the Prince George’s County school system for 27 years.  Of those years, he most enjoyed the time he spent as vice principal at Samuel Ogle Junior High School, working with many children who lived in the same community where he raised his family.  

He enjoyed vacationing at the beach, visiting relatives, long walks, and was an avid reader. He also had lifelong passion for geography and in retirement spent several years working for the Census Bureau which included drawing maps. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Judith Springer, beloved sons Paul Alexander and wife Beverly, John Christopher and wife Debbie, Jeffrey Mark and wife Colleen, and Scott Gregory and wife Janet. He is preceded in death by his brother Joseph and sister Rena. He is the grandfather of eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
