Allwyn F. Crichlow, Jr.

On Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 9:28pm, Allwyn F. Crichlow Jr., affectionately called “Crich” or “Poppie” passed peacefully at his home surrounded by the love of his family and dear friends.

Our beloved Poppie leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of sixty years, Cereta “Toni” Crichlow; devoted children, Andrea, Alecia, Allwyn F. Crichlow III, and Antoinette (Anthony) Murphy; grandchildren, Faith Crichlow, Latoya (Dejuan) Stevens, Kwasi Crichlow, Joshua (Asia) Paulk, Chiquita and Tyree Pitts, Natasha and Bianca Crichlow, Anthony Jr.(Emily), Antoine, and Amari Murphy; great-grandchildren, Amirah Curvey, Kayden Fabian, Sincere Holley, Kai’a and Kenzli White, Aria Watson, Haize and Hunter Pitts, Geremiah Hawkins, Anais Taylor, and Skylar Mills; loving siblings, William (Pam) Parker IV, Donna, Martin (Nellie), Gordon, Mary, Allen (Tori), and Betty Crichlow; sister-in-law, Iris “Pat” Duckett; cousins, Eric and Linda White; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives, adopted family members, long-time neighbors, and many dear, lifelong friends. He will also be missed by the grand-pups Myles, Remus, Badu, and Ming. 

Poppie was preceded in death by his parents Allwyn F. Crichlow Sr. and Irene Hemsley Crichlow Parker, siblings Rachael and Bernard Crichlow, and Lilian Burrell.

The family will receive friends for viewing on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 2:00pm until time of service at 2:45pm at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 15200 Sweitzer Lane, Laurel, MD. Internment Monday, July 15th, 2024, 1:00pm at Resurrection Cemetery, 8000 Woodyard Road, Clinton, MD The family will assemble at the front gate at 12:45pm for escort to graveside. The funeral Service will also be streamed on Zoom.
