Andrew Louis Klenkel

Drew Klenkel, of Davidsonville, MD, died on March 18, 2022 after a long, heroic fight with cancer. Drew was born on April 26, 1987 at St. Agnes Hospital to his adoring parents Gary and Carron Klenkel of Centreville, MD. Drew grew up in Bowie, MD with his five siblings in a house filled with love, laughter and commotion. He attended St. Pius X and Bowie Sr. High. His family moved to Centreville, MD in 2004, where Drew graduated from Queen Anne’s County High School.

 

Drew’s passions were many - especially music, playing the guitar, drawing, film and most of all his family and friends. He was the go-to guy for general trivia. This past year, not letting his illness keep him down, he got a job at 3rd Eye Comics another one of his loves.

 

In addition to his parents, he leaves behind his loving siblings who were also his best friends: Annie and Brian Patterson, Patrick and Skylar Klenkel, Kevin Klenkel, Megan Gygax, Holly and Jamie Morris, and Ryan Klenkel. He was the best ever “Uncle Drew” to Janie, Mark, Heath, Ike, Nate, Lucy, Reese and Molly. Our memories of Drew and the love he shared will be treasured by so many others, including many aunts and uncles (especially “the Aunts” Tina and Lisa), cousins (especially Matthew, who was his cohort/confidante through a lifetime of family vacations and gatherings) and special friends.

 

Family will receive friends at Beall’s Funeral Home, 6512 Crain Hwy. (Rt. 3 South), Bowie, MD, on Tuesday, March 22nd from 6-8 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Church, Davidsonville, MD on Wednesday, March 23 at 10:30am.
