Angela Kaimakis

March 4, 1939 — January 11, 2022

Angela N. (Maistros) Kaimakis, Born March 4, 1939 in Baltimore City, Maryland.  Angela attended Patterson High School and later Johns Hopkins University.  She was married in 1960 to her beloved husband Michael Kaimakis, she is survived by her son Angelo Kaimakis and daughter Maria Kaimakis and her husband Vassos, and grandchildren Andreas and Angelica. She is also survived by her sister Georgia Koundouriotis, many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Angela was a school teacher at Highlantown Elementary School #215 from 1970-1981.  She specialized in working with children learning differences such as Dyslexia, as she was dyslexic herself.
 
After retiring she became very active in the evangelical community, and also was trained as a community Chaplin by the Baltimore City Police Department.  She traveled to El Salvador, Guatemala, Argentina, Israel  Greece and Cyprus, visiting communities and praying with those less fortunate. 
 
The House of Prayer at the Gathering Place was her last project.  She operated from her home on Ellwood Ave.  Her home and heart was always open for anyone in need, whether it was prayer or food, she knew that God had put her here to make a difference.
