Ann Marie Brown
On Monday September 13, 2021 passed away peacefully at home.
Born in Washington, D.C. to George Gillis and Edna Louise Butler the third oldest of eleven children. Ann Marie as she is known by her family was a woman of Faith and she was devoted to her family. She is predeceased in death by her husband of 30 years Albert M. Brown (1990) her siblings George Butler (1989), Helen Proctor (2015), Warren Butler (2019), and Charles Butler (2021). She is survived by her two children, Ronnell and Elisa Brown, Grandson Dante Brown (Courtney), Great Grandsons Trent and Roman Brown. Also siblings, Catherine Hill (Major), Alice Williams (James), Mary Savoy (John), Ellen Edmonds (Raymond) and Francis Butler (Dorothy), James Butler and a host of nieces and nephews.
A special acknowledgement for her niece Doris Rene Thigpen, who made her final days a Blessing and was there every day for Aunt Ann Marie and her family, we are eternally grateful and her Doctor Stephanie Trifoglio of 26 years who she admired and respected.
Our family would not be where it is today if we didn’t have Ann Marie as our mother, we are because she was.
The family requests in lieu of Flowers to donate to her charities, St. Jude and Children’s National Medical Center.
