Anna Maria Evans

On Wednesday, August 8, 2018, Anna Maria Evans (Thomasberger), loving wife, mother of two children, and Oma to one little boy, passed away at the age of 71.

Anna was born in Germany on June 8, 1947 to Leo and Anna Maria (Pospisil) Thomasberger.  She studied to be a pharmacist at an early age and thereafter worked as a Manager with the U.S. Post Exchange for numerous years.  On December 29, 1970, she married Sgt. Robert Clifford Evans in Germany.  They raised two daughters, Erika (Fawcett) and Angela (Schuler).

As a military spouse, with her husband in the Army for 27 years, she was stationed in California, Texas, Germany, and Maryland.  She enjoyed travelling and meeting new people.  Anna had a passion for helping others.  She loved spending many hours gardening, tending to her fruit trees, and watching for hummingbirds and butterflies.  Her past time was playing the lottery and always had beginners luck.  She enjoyed laughing and spending time with family and friends.  Anna was known for her kind-hearted and compassionate spirit.   She was also very active with charities, Purple Heart, AMVETS, US against MS, National Children’s Center, and donations for the SPCA.
