It is with deep sorrow that we share the death of our mom, Annabelle Farr Mumma, who left us on July 13th after a beautifully lived life. Full of love, laughter and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her. Born in Lafayette, Indiana on August 15, 1940 to Vance and Dorothy Farr, she graduated from St. Mary of the Woods College and soon thereafter married our dad ( LTC RET) Patrick J. Mumma in 1962. She was a dedicated and supportive military wife for 35 years, often volunteering in different service organizations within the military community and managing multiple relocations here and abroad. In 1971, Crofton became her home where she lived for 52 years. She quickly made friends and became actively involved in the community through the Crofton Newcomer’s Club. One of her greatest accomplishments was being the recipient of the Crofton Volunteer of the Year Award for spearheading the Nancy E. Seipel Memorial Blood Drive, the first of its kind. Mom was especially fond of her time in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware where she met her amazing beach friends and earned the title of Rehoboth Beach Socialite Extraordinaire!
Our mom is predeceased by her parents Vance and Dorothy Farr, her sister, Dorothy Ann, her husband, Pat, her son in law, Kurt Enriquez and grandson, Stephen Chase Walter. She is survived by her five children and their spouses, Debbie Enriquez, Missy and Dean DiSibio, Renee and Bruce Jarstad, Kevin and Karyn Mumma and Jennifer and Steve Walter. She was blessed with nine grandchildren who dearly loved their “Nana”: Anthony, Laura, Megan, Kayla, Kyle, Taylor, Katy, Kendal and Brady.
Our Mom was the light of our lives and will forever be remembered for hiding Doritos and Peanut M&M’s in her robe, being an avid sports fan, throwing great parties, spending time on the beach with family and friends at 17A, enjoying a cup of java with her Coffee Mill Club and her contagious spirit to all those who were lucky enough to be in her life. The great memories made will always be dear to our hearts and the hearts of many. Although we will miss her for the rest of our days, we know she is at peace and will guide us through the profound loss of our mom, a.k.a “NANAGOGO”!
