Antonio Bonete DeRoxas

Antonio "Tony" DeRoxas, RPA, passed away suddenly on January 7, 2020 at Washington Hospital Center. He was born on November 23, 1948 to Francisco DeRoxas and Martina Bonete in Lemery, Batangas Philip-pines. Tony was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, co-worker, and friend. Tony married his beloved wife Alicia (who preceded him in death on November 27, 2017) and had five children: Monette (Alan), Audrey, Poch, Nicholus (Melissa), and Patrick (Kit). He has two grandchildren, Darryl and Sampaguita. He also has four grandpets, Monkey, Bean, TJ, and Ziggy.

During his professional career, he has been a Communications Consult-ant, Building Manager, and more recently a Senior Operations Manager for Trade Center Management Associates, the company managing the Ronald Reagan building in Washington, DC (RRB/ITC). He worked for at least ten years in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and moved his family to be with him in the late 1980’s before settling the family in the United States in 1989. He belongs to the Holy Family Church Woodmore and was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and Mabuhay, Inc.
He is survived by his siblings: Nardy (Susan), Paquito (Santa), Nora, Teddy (Araceli), and Obeth (Jessie); by his sisters-in-law: Susan (Nardy), Beth, Mayette (Roy), and Judy (Jimmy), by his many nephews, nieces, and cousins; and by his beloved pet Theodore. He was preceded in death by his brother Raffy (Baby).

Tony enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, watching movies, and the occasional excitement at the casino. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity to his family, friends, and co-workers and for his incomparable work ethic.
