Arlene Ruth Rosch

September 28, 1945 — October 3, 2023

Catonsville

ARLENE R. ROSCH, our beloved mother suddenly and sadly passed away on October 3, 2023.  She was predeceased by her parents, Clyde and Helen (Pell) Saul, and her sister Linda Ignowski and her spouse William E. Rosch.  She is survived by her children Michelle (Rosch) Glodeck and Carl Eric Rosch and her grandchildren Jacob and Emmalyn Rosch.  She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed.

She grew up in Temple Hills and met the love of her life at Oxon Hill Lutheran Church at an early age. They both remained very active within several Lutheran congregations throughout their lives and had a positive impact on many fellow parishioners and friends.  Arlene was a superstar secretary at heart.  Ask any of her former employers.  They will tell you she was the best and kept them in check.  She worked in several church offices, for the Dean of Mathematics at University of Maryland, and volunteered in the Pastoral Office at her recent home, Charlestown Retirement Community.  Her organizational skills were her strengths along with her love for sewing, quilting, playing Canasta and Rumi cube, and simply spending time with her family and friends (especially her grandkids who held a special place in her heart.)

A Celebration of Life service will be held in the chapel at Charlestown Community, 711 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD 21228, on October 16, 2023 at 1pm, with a reception immediately following.

Private burial for immediate family will be held on October 20th at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville, MD.

In lieu of flowers, Eric and I would like to ask donations be made to the Charlestown Benevolent Care Fund.  Funds are used to help residents that may run out of money continue to call Charlestown home for life, regardless of what care they may need.

Checks can be made to Charlestown Benevolent Care and mailed to:
