Aubrey Clare, age 64, passed away Saturday morning on July 3, 2021, after a brave battle with cancer.
Aubrey was born in Belize City, Belize to Lloyd and Mavis Clare. He was father to Brianna, his sole child
and his pride and joy.

Aubrey graduated from Automotive Technical High School in Brooklyn, New York. He served twenty-two
years in the United States Army from 1976 to 1998. His first tour of duty was at Fort Myer, Virginia, where
he served with the Elite Honor Guard. He then attended the Army Military Police School and was
assigned to the Army Military Police in various duty stations, including New Jersey, Germany, Korea,
California, and Maryland. As Military Police, he achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class. He completed
the Military Investigator and Hostage Negotiation training, and also earned the Army Expert
Marksmanship badge. His military awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal and the Army
Commendation Medal, two of the most prestigious awards earned by enlisted soldiers. After retiring from
the Army, he served as a United States Marshal of the District of Columbia Superior Court. Aubrey gave
true meaning to the words “Love thy neighbor as thyself.” He was committed to reaching out to his
neighbors in the community where he lived.

As a retired policeman and an avid gun owner, Aubrey had a passion for maintaining his weapon
proficiency and qualified with the Maryland State Police to carry a concealed weapon. He was a
championship racquetball player, winning numerous military and civilian tournaments. He loved to dance
and was known as the life of the party. No matter where he went, he brightened the room with his jovial
demeanor and kind spirit. Aubrey enjoyed traveling both domestically and internationally, specifically to
his home country, Belize. His love for driving led him to work for ZeBest Limousine Service after retiring.
When he wasn’t driving for work, he was driving back and forth to New York to visit family and wherever
his daughter lived at the time.

Aubrey is predeceased by his mother Mrs. Mavis L. Clare, his father Mr. Lloyd J. Clare, his sister Jean R.
