Beth M. Moon , 67, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 14^th, 2021. Loving wife of Donald L. Moon and loving mother of Emily A. Kavanagh and Matthew M. Moon and most loving grandmother to Grace (Gracie) Kavanagh, age 3. She was cherished by her many cousins, nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces.

Beth was born in Oak Park, Illinois in 1953, the daughter of John Maloy( deceased) and Lorraine (King) Maloy(deceased). She had brothers John Maloy of  La Grange, IL, Michael Maloy of La Grange, IL, and sisters Erin Horstman of Woodridge, IL and Kimberly McLynn of Trevor, WI.

Beth attended college at the College of the Ozarks graduating with a BA in Public Administration.

Upon graduation, she worked for American Reserve Insurance Insurance and worked in various aspects of insurance, which she absolutely loved for all of her career,   She finally retired from the DC Risk Management Department in June, 2021.

She was married to Donald L. Moon on September 2, 1979 until the time of her passing.  With her husband, she moved around the country living in Youngstown, OH, Lanham, Maryland, Sacramento CA, then back to Bowie, MD for good in 1988.  

Friends can call at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy (Rt 3 South), Bowie, MD on August 28th from 4 to 6 PM EDT.  Visitation is from 4 until 5 PM with A memorial Service will be conducted at the funeral home by Pastor Robert Barnes of Mt. Oak UMC Church in Bowie, MD . The placement of the cremains will occur at a later point in time.
