Betty P. Finnegan

April 20, 1925 — July 27, 2019

Betty Finnegan passed away on July 27, 2019. She was 94 years young. Born on April 20, 1925 to John Scheibach and Grace Jobson, she spent much of her childhood in Chicago, IL, what she described as the “notorious South Side.” She married Kenneth Finnegan and they had four children together - Donnie, Steve, Jeff, and Kathy - before her husband passed away. She devoted her life to her children and family.

Mrs. Finnegan was the most giving, selfless, and spunky woman to all that knew her. A hardworking homemaker, loyal friend, witty and often comical conversationalist, she was and will forever be a pillar of strength and fortitude in her family, and her legacy of faith, love, and dedication will live on. She is survived by her children and 21 grandchildren, whom she bragged about to everyone she met, as well as 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, and brothers Clifford and John.

Mrs. Finnegan will be buried in a graveside ceremony on July 31, 2019 at Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood, MD please arrive no later than 10:30am. A celebration of life will be held on August 11, 2019 at Cape St. Claire Clubhouse, 1223 Riverbay Road, Annapolis, MD at 3:00pm. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, all are welcome to bring a perennial to the celebration of life to be planted in a garden memorializing Betty.
