Beverly Ann Schilling, age 90, passed away February 25, 2022. She was just 3 weeks past her 90th birthday. Beverly lived a full, wonderful life. She enjoyed many interests and hobbies, from skeet shooting to getting her private pilot’s license.
Beverly loved to listen to the radio; and channel WMAL was on every day, as she listened to Harden & Weaver and, especially, Rush Limbaugh and she never left the house without making sure something was playing on the radio for her beloved dog Yo-Yo. Her sister, Connie, and she were big fans of the Washington Nationals; and they listened and watched and argued faithfully. Ryan Zimmerman was her big crush—but not as big a crush as Tom Selleck!
Beverly was a very generous person to all and after her son Kurt’s death, Beverly donated to the National Leukemia Society for the rest of her life. She was a good friend to all around her, and a wonderful mother. She never held a grudge. She could keep a secret. She knew and cared about her neighbors. Beverly never, EVER, forgot a birthday!
Beverly leaves behind her two sons, Edward III and Scott and his wife, Melody as well as five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; and her brother, David, and his wife Sandy.
Beverly will be interred with her husband Edward Jr. at Arlington National Cemetery.
Contributions to the National Leukemia Society in her name would be greatly appreciated.
