Jean Hall, 95, passed away peacefully in Annapolis, Maryland, on March 5, 2025. She was born on July 12, 1929, in Durham, North Carolina, to Clyde and Mabel Bennett. In 1939, Jean moved with her family to Washington, D.C., where she spent a few years before relocating to Maryland.
Jean married Richard H. Hall on September 30, 1949, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. Jean's career spanned several years, including work with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Kiplinger in Hyattsville, and as a crossing guard for Prince George's County. After having children, she became a devoted homemaker, creating a warm and loving environment for her family.
Her hobbies included camping, bowling, and playing cards, but her greatest joy was always her family and her dogs. Jean’s accomplishments were measured by the love she shared with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and the kindness and sense of humor she spread to all who knew her.
Jean’s faith in God could be seen throughout her life. She regularly attended church with her family, and her commitment to Jesus was evident in everything she did. Jean and Richard made it a priority to raise their children in the church, teaching them the importance of faith.
Jean is survived by her three children, Linda, Danny, and Rick, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard of 54 years, her parents, and her two brothers.
A visitation will be held at Beall Funeral Home in Bowie Maryland on March 15, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. A memorial service will follow immediately after.
Jean’s family takes comfort in knowing that she is now at peace with the Lord, and they will carry on her legacy of love, faith, laughter, and kindness.
